Beware of Fraud this Holiday Season
It’s that time of year again when fraud and attempted fraud becomes more prevalent. With fraudsters becoming more sophisticated and finding new and innovative ways to commit fraud, Me/CU would like to remind our members to be vigilant with account information including debit and credit card information. As Me/CU has seen an increase in members receiving text messages stating that their card has been compromised, should you receive a phone call or text message, please be careful how you respond to it. If possible do not open the message or call the phone number as the person answering the call will likely attempt to get your card information so that it can be used for fraud.
When in doubt, please call Me/CU so that an employee can work with you to verify whether or not your account information or card information has been compromised.
